Refund & Cancellation Policy
1. General Policy & Ticket Sale Finality
All ticket purchases completed on [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("WetinNext") are final and non-refundable upon successful transaction processing, except under the specific circumstances explicitly described below (such as an event being cancelled by the organizer or as mandated by applicable consumer protection legislation).
Current Platform Capabilities & Manual Process
WetinNext does not operate an automated instant-refund engine, promo-code credit system, or automated cancellation portal. All eligible refund claims are reviewed and processed manually by our operations team in coordination with the respective event organizer.
2. Event Cancellation or Substantial Postponement
Event Cancellation: If an event is cancelled in its entirety by the event Organizer, ticket holders are entitled to request a refund for the face value of the ticket. The Organizer bears the primary legal and financial obligation to satisfy refund liabilities for cancelled events.
Event Rescheduling or Relocation: If an event is postponed to a different date or relocated to a substantially different venue, your ticket remains valid for the rescheduled date. If you are unable to attend on the revised date, you may submit a manual refund request during any cancellation window announced by the organizer.
3. Change of Mind & Inability to Attend
Refunds are not granted for personal schedule conflicts, transportation delays, change of mind, illness, or incidental weather conditions, provided the event takes place as scheduled.
Cannot Make It? Use Official Ticket Transfer
If you are unable to attend an event, you do not need to lose the value of your ticket. WetinNext includes an official, built-in Ticket Transfer feature:
- Go to your WetinNext wallet at My Tickets.
- Select the ticket and enter the recipient's email address.
- Once sent and claimed, your old QR code and backup code are permanently revoked, and a brand new, verified credential is minted directly into your recipient's account.
4. Platform Service Fees
WetinNext charges a platform service fee of 2.5% + ₦100 per ticket to cover technology infrastructure, rotating QR cryptographic security, payment gateway charges, and ticket validation services. In the event of an organizer-initiated cancellation, the treatment of service fees is handled in compliance with applicable consumer protection laws and organizer contractual terms.
5. How to Submit a Manual Refund Claim
If your event has been cancelled by the organizer and you have not received automatic instructions, you can initiate a manual review by contacting our support team:

Refund Request: [Order ID]. - Include the email address associated with your WetinNext account.
- Specify the Event Name, Ticket Tier, Quantity, and the reason for the claim (e.g., organizer cancellation).
Our team will verify the cancellation status with the organizer and process the manual reimbursement via Paystack to your original payment method.
6. Organizer Payout Holds for Disputed or Cancelled Events
WetinNext automatically releases 100% of net ticket revenue to organizers 24 hours post-event (for verified organizations) or 48 hours post-event (for unverified organizations).
However, if an event is cancelled, postponed, or subject to credible notice of non-performance before the payout window settles, WetinNext reserves the express right to place an administrative hold on the payout balance to facilitate attendee refund settlements.
